At K.O. Fire Curtain, LLC, we believe our product is first and foremost a life saving device. The intense heat and unpredictable nature of a wind driven fire puts fire fighters at greater risk. The need for an effective wind control device is undeniable. The developers of the K.O. Fire Curtain are career Firefighters, having served decades in the FDNY. Using materials that meet their exacting specifications is an unwavering standard. We would never allow an inferior product to be placed in the hands of our brothers-in-arms.
The K.O. Fire Curtain and carrying bag are manufactured at modern plants in the USA. Our fire proof fabric is custom weaved and has been tested to temperatures above 2,000°. Producing the curtain in America gives us total control over the process. We know every curtain leaving the factory will meet our customers' expectations.
In February, 2008, with grants from FEMA, the FDNY and The Polytechnic Institute of NYU deployed the curtain at a planned wind driven high rise fire on Governors Island in N.Y. harbor. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and product testing firm Intertek examined numerous aspects of the curtain including efficacy, ease of use, and temperature tolerance. The results met and often exceeded expectations.

In a recent article in Security Management Magazine, FDNY Battalion Chief Gerald Tracy spoke about the K.O. Fire Curtain's impressive performance. "Not only does it stop the wind, it drops the temperature in the fire apartment in half ... like a light-switch."
